Hamburg Airport prepares for your future

An airport that wants to be attractive for both passengers and airlines needs to be in good shape. Hamburg Airport is preparing for your future needs with numerous renovation and expansion projects to improve the airport's performance even more. Existing infrastructure is being comprehensively refurbished to suit modern requirements. The entire apron is being renewed, new walk-in-walk-out gates have been constructed, the new Hamburg Airport Cargo Center has opened, and two new double jet bridges, specially designed for wide-body aircraft, will enter operation in the spring.

HAM is growing. Wanna join in?

The sun is shining on our route network, with eleven new destinations in Hamburg's summer timetable. We have already welcomed six brand new airlines this year: Air Serbia, ASL France, Atlasglobal, Blue Air, Tarom and Wizz. HAM's growth last year was two percentage points above the German average, and for this year we expect two percent passenger growth and more than 16 million passengers. The diverse range of airlines and destinations reflects the special dynamics of our market.

The Hamburg Aviation Conference

Airports and airlines need to learn to launch new products and services together. The only way to succeed is for the entire value creation chain to be involved. This was the conclusion reached at this year's Hamburg Aviation Conference - an annual event launched by Hamburg Airport 19 years ago. Once again, around 150 experts from the industry and the academy gathered in the city this year to discuss various strategies and evaluate the latest developments in the aviation industry. The Conference's motto, "Think Future", underlines its purpose: to offer participants a platform for free thinking, open discussions, and a wide range of ideas.
